FWA Live – Lampard and Scott on fine form
Our latest FWA Live was a great success, with England Legends Frank Lampard and Alex Scott joining Carrie Brown, Neil Ashton and Paul McCarthy on a panel to discuss the FA Cup final, World Cup and many other topics.Supported by our title sponsors William Hill, it was held at the Landmark Hotel, London, on Thursday May 17 and covered a lot of ground. Frank and Alex kindly donated their fees to charity. Frank donated his to the Matthew Harding Trust while Alex supported Millwall Lionesses, who are struggling to survive.

Michael Calvin on Millwall and FA Cup Violence
What distresses me is that people had taken their children to Wembley for their first big game and the kids were so terrified they don’t want to go to football again – Michael CalvinBy CHRISTOPHER DAVIES
NOBODY saw it coming, not least Michael Calvin who spent a year virtually living with Millwall to write “Family – Life, Death and Football.” Families may argue, but fight?

‘Those who work for Millwall must pull their hair out at times at the way the club are depicted’
TOBY PORTER on the public perception of FA Cup semi-finalists MillwallBy CHRISTOPHER DAVIES
NO ONE may like Millwall, but Toby Porter certainly does care about how others view the club.
Porter is the sports editor of the South London Press and has covered Millwall for 11 years. Millwall have a stigma, mostly outdated and based on events from 30 or 40 years ago, but it is an image that the club will find difficult to shake off even though they have done everything to eliminate violence and racism with success.

For more than 20 years I primarily covered baseball and only became involved in football because my newspaper needed a Spanish speaker to follow the Mexico team through its preparations for the 2010 World Cup. I followed the team through Europe then to ...

CAPITAL ONE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR THIS FINAL
By CHRISTOPHER DAVIESSIMON PARKER, the football writer closest to Bradford City, on the rise and rise of the Bantams
"In the future everybody will be world famous for 15 minutes" – Andy Warhol, 1968.
BRADFORD CITY are one win away from securing a place in the Europa League. Old sages may say nothing in football surprises them, but the rise and rise of the Bantams is up there with all the tales of the unexpected the occasionally beautiful game can offer.
