FWA Live – Hughton, Sheringham and Jordan

We are delighted to announce a star-studded line-up for our latest edition of FWA Live, which will be at the Landmark Hotel, London on Tuesday August 6.  Chris Hughton, Teddy Sheringham and Simon Jordan will complete a panel including FWA Chair Carrie Brown and The Times Football Correspondent Henry Winter, with proceedings overseen by Gerry Cox.

Bale named FWA Footballer of the Year

Gareth Bale has been chosen as the Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers’ Association.

Bale is the first Tottenham Hotspur player to win the award since David Ginola in 1999 and the first Wales international to be selected for English football’s oldest individual trophy since Everton’s Neville Southall in 1985.

Harry Redknapp Tribute Night

Harry Redknapp became the latest recipient of the Football Writers' Association Tribute Award when the Tottenham manager was honoured at a gala dinner in the Royal Lancaster Hotel on January 13.

The 61-year-old, who guided Portsmouth to FA Cup glory at Wembley in May 2007, jetted back to the capital following his team's Barclays Premier League game at Wigan to take his place at the top table for what was another memorable evening for the FWA and its guests.
