Marcus Rashford receives FWA Tribute Award
Marcus Rashford says he is honoured to become the latest Manchester United player to receive the FWA Tribute Award.The United and England striker was honoured today for his outstanding work on and off the pitch, and says in an exclusive interview with FWA Chair Carrie Brown that he is honoured to follow in the footsteps of United legends Sir Alex Ferguson, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham in receiving our tribute award.

David Meek RIP
Tributes have been pouring in for David Meek, one of our life members, who has passed away at the age of 88.
David started covering Manchester United for the Manchester Evening News in 1958 after the Munich air disaster claimed the life of the MEN's Reds correspondent Tom Jackson.

FWA Live – Lampard and Scott on fine form
Our latest FWA Live was a great success, with England Legends Frank Lampard and Alex Scott joining Carrie Brown, Neil Ashton and Paul McCarthy on a panel to discuss the FA Cup final, World Cup and many other topics.Supported by our title sponsors William Hill, it was held at the Landmark Hotel, London, on Thursday May 17 and covered a lot of ground. Frank and Alex kindly donated their fees to charity. Frank donated his to the Matthew Harding Trust while Alex supported Millwall Lionesses, who are struggling to survive.

Football Book of the Year shortlist announced
The shortlist for the Football Book of the Year has been announced with former winner James Montague among the six contenders for this year’s top prize in the 16th Sports Book Awards.
His probe into football’s super rich owners — The Billionaires Club — contrasts sharply with Tom van Hulsen’s book — Game Changers — on Dutchmen Arnold Muhren and Frans Thijssen, who were the outstanding stars of Bobby Robson’s Ipswich Town team three decades ago.

England Legends at FWA Live on May 17
England legends Frank Lampard and Alex Scott will be our special guests at the next FWA Live, to be held at the Landmark Hotel London on Thursday May 17.Former Chelsea midfielder Lampard and Arsenal Women's star Scott both reached over 100 caps for England, and will be previewing the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester United and also discussing this summer's World Cup, and in particular England's prospects.
