Derek Hodgson – RIP
The FWA is sad to hear that Derek Hodgson has passed away, aged 87.Although Derek was best known as a cricket writer, becoming the Independent's chief cricket writer, he was formerly a senior sports reporter, with the Daily Express among others.
He was also a former President of the Cricket Writers' Club, and had been a member of Yorkshire Cricket Club since 1948.
The FWA sends condolences to Derek's friends and family. Funeral details will be announced in due course.
